Caring for the Nails

It pays to know how to take care of our nails. Healthy looking nails are great to look at and will not require the need for transparent or colorful coverings. Some of the things that can be done include moisturizing the cuticle area to prevent cracking and peeling. It is good practice to wear protective gloves when doing harsh housework such as scrubbing or gardening. In the office, nails are often abused by using it to remove staple wires and typing with fingernails instead of the tip of the fingers.

Use only clean implements for the nails. Infection can occur and it can cause the nail to get brittle and break easily. When this happens, repair can always be made with nail glue. It can fix small breaks in the nails; it can also be used to stick on artificial nails either to fix a big problem or for aesthetic reasons. For those who prefer to wear their nail long a bottle of nail glue should always be kept on hand for repairs.
