Essential oils

Aromatherapy is a form of alternative medicine. It is supposed to improve a person’s mood, cognitive functions and health. Essential oils are important parts of aromatherapy. The theory is that the aroma of essential oils has a positive effect on the brain. Other materials used in aromatherapy are herbal distillates and infusions. Examples of these are rose, lemon balm and chamomile.

Some of the commonly used essential oils and their uses are:~Anise – depression~Basil – fatigue and exhaustion~Lavender – anxiety, irritability, panic attacks and stress~Lemon – fear, happiness and peace~Thyme – concentration and memory
