lip makeup

There’s a big difference between professional make up and everyday make up. A typical working woman will apply a face powder, eye shadow, mascara and lipstick only. Any professional make-up artist will tell you that there are more products and more steps to be done when applying make-up. When applying lip makeup for instance, a professional artist recommends using more than just lip stick. A typical makeup artist uses lip balm or lip moisturizer, lip liner or lip pencil, lip stick and lip gloss.

A professional makeup artist will take several steps or products when applying lip make up. A lip moisturizer or lip balm is applied first; this will make the lips moist and allow the lipstick to stick longer to the lips. The lip liner can be applied next to outline the shape of the lips. The lip liner will also serve as the boundary for the lip stick. The color of the lip liner should generally be the same as or be the same shade but lighter than the color of the lip stick. The lip stick is then applied, better if done using a lip brush. Finally, the lip gloss is applied on top of the lip stick to give it a shiny finish.
